Concession Stand Worker (Seasonal Job)

Position Summary: Under general supervision of the Kitchen Manager performs duties related to Lakewood Park concession stand operation. Position requires an individual to have customer service and food preparation skills, positive attitude, and will assist in preparing location for day-to-day operation; responsible for accurate accounting and all transactions and assistance with inventory controls. Prior food service, customer service, or fast food experience is a plus. 

 This is a temporary position that runs from June 6, 2025, until September 1, 2025. 

Essential Job Functions

• Responsible for food preparation and distribution & sales (through Square terminal) of food and beverage to customers.
• Has a sincere desire to work alongside of people with intellectual and developmental disabilities.
• Interact with customers and clients in a pleasant and professional manner.
• Ability to follow directions and effectively perform the work.
• Maintain safe working conditions and sanitary work area.
• Maintain accurate cash handling procedures at all times.
• Follow HELP Foundation rules and regulations.
• Immediately report ALL incidents or accidents to the Site Leader.
• Maintain a clean and safe facility and ensure the safety and wellbeing of the costumers at all times.
• Assist with and or complete daily tasks such as cleaning, cooking, and other assigned duties.
• Exhibit acceptable work standards and immediately correct actions that do not meet Agency standards.
• Come to work on time, in the proper attire, and prepared to work.
• Adjust work hours as required for effective operation of the concession stand.
• All other related tasks as assigned by management.

Requirements:

• Must be at least 15 years of age with a valid work permit.
• This position requires stooping and lifting, substantial standing and walking.
• Basic level of computer proficiency as well as good basic reading and math skills.
• Excellent communication, money handling and record keeping skills.
• Ability to accept and provide direction and instruction in a professional manner.
• Successfully pass a background check that includes a BCI and FBI criminal history check.
