Summit County Program

Our Summit County program serves individuals in a variety of apartment settings throughout the county. Some individuals share apartments while others live in their own subsidized housing. Hours of service provision range from 24–hour supervision to drop in services of two to three hours per day. Everyone is encouraged and assisted with learning daily living skills to become more independent. These skills include apartment maintenance, cooking, budgeting, socialization and community participation. In addition, necessary supports are provided to meet medical, emotional and physical needs. There is an emphasis on meeting the total needs of individuals in a way that coincides with their preferences and lifestyles and that encourages them to take on new challenges and risks.
