Help Foundation depends on larger gifts and grants to meet the special needs of our clients. This may include home improvements or construction of new homes for the disabled. Program managers frequently identify the need for special services such as art and music therapies. These special services add to the quality of life for of our special population.

    List of current special needs:
  • Accessible entrance to the basement of the Zborowsky children’s home
  • Children’s outdoor playground equipment for both the Kohn and Zborowsky Homes
  • Accessible van for transportation of clients to appointments
  • Installation of computerized communication system between programs and central office
  • Development of an exercise area at the West 153rd site of Help Housing for the Disabled
  • Maintenance vehicle for the Facilities Department which is responsible for all site improvements
  • Training equipment, tapes and manuals to improve services by staff and insure compliance with federal and state licensing and program standards
