Continuing Education Extended School Year Summer Program

Continuing Education Program Previously named "The Summer Program," the HELP Continuing Education Program celebrates 30 years of supporting and educating children during the summer months. At developmental centers located on the east and west sides of Cleveland, 300 children receive individual special education services.

Our nursing and teaching staff, prior to a youngster's acceptance into the program, complete a comprehensive assessment. This assessment is then utilized by the program staff to ensure a continuation of school instruction based on the individual needs of each child.

Staffing includes special education teachers, nurses, speech therapists, behavioral specialists, assistant teachers and high school students. This is a full day extended school year program which offers transportation, breakfast, lunch, and special therapies to maintain present levels of performance, prevent regression, and provide necessary respite during the summer months.
